Food quality is the quality characteristics of food that is acceptable to consumers. On the other hand, Food Safety refers to handling, preparing and storing food in a way to best reduce the risk individuals becoming sick from foodborne illnesses.

Both food quality and food safety are important for the well being of a consumer. Our projects investigate improving quality systems for manufacturers and ensuring the food is produced under safe conditions to minimise contamination.
